Putting all the airdrop shenanigans aside, I'm genuinely excited for Monad launch. As a developer who has worked on Ethereum smart contracts and Solana programs, and as a user, I can feel the same level of anticipation I had when I first tried out Solana. EVM at Solana speeds is going to be a game changer. All the usecases that Ethereum cannot support and OPOS will now be possible on EVM again. Lots to look forward to.
I hate Solidity though. Well, I hate rust too. So, there's that.
