So many people are “not really trading perps at the moment”
I get it - it’s been a choppy year for crypto traders. Add in 10/10 PTSD and it’s natural to step back and touch grass.
When you do want to re-enter the trading arena then pairs and baskets make sense in rebuilding confidence:
1. Much lower volatility than outright long or short (and better risk-adjusted returns)
2 Dynamic portfolio margining of longs and shorts allow sensible use of leverage (3-10x) without compromising upside
3. TP/SL on the basket level allows risk management and avoids ADL on individual legs
4. Can do superior execution eg. TWAP in/out of basket, Ladder limits, conditional trades on btc.d etc
5. Its +EV given the 3-6k $HYPE we will be giving in S2 of HyPear Points (already started). So even if some of your trades lose and you pay some fees, it should still be worth it.
I admire spot and chill investors
However, If you’re a trader at heart, I do believe Pear v2 is the most unique way to level up your trading tooling and approach.
